Troop 7 offers an extensive outdoors program and consistent, experienced leadership. New leaders are encouraged and developed through BSA training, and parents are welcome to participate. The basic philosophy of the program at Troop 7 is to help a Scout to mature in his Christian walk. We were founded by Bethany Community Church in 1988 as a Christian troop and desire to please God in our own lives as we serve the troop. Each meeting will be opened and closed with prayer.
We feel strongly that the Scout uniform is a part of the program and we are proud that we are a fully uniformed troop. A full uniform is required to go to summer camp.
We desire Scouts to learn about and experience leadership. One of the most effective ways for a Scout to learn about leadership is through the Patrol Method of Operation where the Scouts teach each other the essentials of not only surviving in the wilderness of nature, but also how to survive our society.
Troop 7 is a proud member of the
Grand Canyon Council
and the Salt River District .
